David H. Brantz
David has been a partner at Kottke & Brantz, LLC since August of 2011. His practice focuses on estate planning, probate, real estate and business law.
Prior to joining Kottke & Brantz, LLC, David spent 5 years as an associate at a Tier 1 Trust and Estates law firm1 in Longmont, Colorado.
David graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2006, where he was a member of the Dean’s List and he received a Dufford & Brown Legal Writing Competition Award. David also attended CU as an undergraduate, receiving a B.S. in Finance from the Leeds School of Business in 2000.
David currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees and as Chair of the Legal Committee for The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, a charitable organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life in Boulder County by strengthening our culture of giving.
David belongs to the Boulder County Estate Planning Council (BCEPC), the Boulder County Bar Association (BCBA), the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) and the American Bar Association (ABA). He is an active member of the CBA’s Trust and Estates Section, regularly participating on the Statutory Revisions Committee and on the Orange Book Forms Committee, and he is an active member of the BCBA’s Taxation, Estate Planning and Probate Section.
In 2010, David completed the inaugural Boulder County Leadership Fellows Program, a program that promotes and develops trusted relationships between emerging leaders and established community leaders in order to address the challenges facing our community.
As a Boulder native, David has a lifetime of experience living and working along the Front Range. When he is not in the office, David spends most of his time with his wife, Carly, and their young daughters, Samantha and Carina. David also enjoys rooting for his local sports teams and hiking, camping and skiing in the Colorado high country.
